Brown macroalgae "Ascophyllum Nodosum" in the Atlantic waters of the west coast of Ireland

Sustainability and respect for the environment

The manual harvesting of Ascophyllum Nodosum allows the production of a sustainable and environmentally friendly liquid algae extract.

The Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed is harvested at low tide and expert harvesters use sickles to cut it, taking care to leave the vesicular frond attached to the rocks at a length of 15 to 20 cm.

This traditional harvest is carried out to allow the "Ascophyllum nodosum" seaweed to re-grow and be harvested only after three or five years.

When nature meets innovation

For the production of ManniCrop, extraction processes and innovative techniques are applied which guarantee the integrity of the cellular contents of fresh Ascophyllun Nodosum.

The exclusive and innovative process consists in the application of pressure at a colder temperature in order to obtain a liquid extract containing the biostimulatory substances of unaltered algae.
